Three from one
Welcome to the Thanksgiving edition of the Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop!
Today, I am thankful for my friends and family, my freedom, especially my freedom to worship God as I please, and the talented designers, Eileen Hull, Brenda Pinnick and Karen Burniston, and the people at Sizzix who made this blog hop possible.
This week's die is the Frame Die, designed by Eileen Hull. This die has so many great components that I took several days just to decide what I wanted to do with it. I ended up with not one, but three projects with only one cut from this die (except the additional backing sheet for the book): a candy box with see-through top, a recipe book with a framed cover and a tiny little frame to hold a picture of one of my all-time favorite guys.

Candy Box Supplies
Square Box
Sizzix Bigz Die, Frame (Scallop Frame and Heart)
Krylon Red Spray Paint
Stazon Black ink
Swirl stamp (Stampin'up!®)
Gold Cord
Bead trim
Ivory bead and crochet trim
Beacon Quick Grip
Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink, Taffy
Black ribbon scrap
Acetate Sheet
Viva Decor Gold Glitter Pen
Marvy Marker, Red
1. Cut a 2 1/2" square from box top. Color inside edges with Marvy Marker. Attach acetate to inside of lid.
2. On lid, draw swirls with Glitter Pen and allow to dry.
3. Spray Paint scallop frame red and stamp with black Stazon. Glue to top of box and add gold braid trim around edge/
4. Glue bead trim around edge of lid and cover ribbon edge with ivory trim.
5. Paint heart with Smooch colors and allow to dry. Write sentiment with Sharpie pen and attach ribbon to back of heart. Adhere to top.
6. Fill with your favorite candy.

Patterned paper, four 6"squares
Ribbon Scraps to match paper

Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink, Siren and Taffy

Viva Decor Pearl Paper Pen

Chestnut Roan ink pad (Clearsnap)
1. Adhere paper to front and back of covers.Use Pearl Paint Pen to accent paper design on outer edge only. When dry, lightly sponge edges with brown ink.
2. Spray frame with Espresso paint. Allow to dry then draw swirls with copper Glitter Pen.
3. Punch binding holes across top approximately 3/8" from the edge.
4. Adhere sentiment to center of cover and adhere frame.
5. Color flowers with Smooch inks. Sponge edges with brown ink and add accents with Pearl paper Pen and Copper Glitter Pen. Adhere to cover when dry.
6. Add binder rings and tie ribbon scraps to cover.

1. Stamp image on ivory card stock, color and set aside.
2. Cover frame with paper, trim and sponge all edges with Chestnut Roan ink.
3. Cover back with extra cardstock, leaving the top open. Insert stamped and colored image and attach frame easel to back.
3. Tie bow through charm jump ring and adhere to frame.
There you go. Three gifts, one die. I had so much fun with this project...and I still have a bag of pieces left that I will have to use for something else.
