Here Comes Peter Cottontail!

Don't you just love Spring? To me, it's the most beautiful season here in Tennessee with flowering trees, wildflowers, gorgeous irises and tulips and an over-abundance of azaleas in all colors and sizes. You can't live in the South without azaleas. It's just not done.

The greatest thing about Spring is Easter: the thrill of Easter morning when the children check to see what the Easter bunny left for them, getting all dressed up in our best finery and worshiping God with friends and family. Plus, the chocolate. No Easter is complete without chocolate bunny ears and Peeps.

This little quickie napkin ring will add a burst of sunshine to your Easter table. Each one takes about ten minutes with a hot glue gun, so you can make them at the last minute.

Here's how I did it:

Supplies
Yarn, Yellow
Offray Polka Dot ribbon, 12" for each ring
3 plastic mini-eggs
1 1/4" circle punch
Cardstock scrap
Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Directions
1. Punch a circle from the cardstock. Cut several 3" pieces of yarn. Loop and hot glue to the paper circle in a flower pattern. Set aside.
2. Punch an additional circle. Using about a yard of yarn, start gluing at the center of the circle, wrapping it as you go and gradually cover the entire circle.
3. Hot glue eggs to top of circle pattern.
4. Glue yarn covered circle to the first circle you made. Loop and glue additional yarn around eggs to form nest shape.
5. Create a loop with the polka dot ribbon that is big enough to slide you napkin through. Add egg basket to ribbon.

Simple and easy. I do recommend that you use low-temp glue, because I have several burned fingers to show for this project.

Here's wishing you a blessed Easter with friends and family.

Now go hug someone you love!

Great idea! The napkin rings would also look great on towels in a guest bathroom. Thank you for sharing your project!
